Aniimo type chart

Nine elements, three damage bands, no immunities — and two quirks that catch people out.

The rules

  • 1.6× favourable · neutral ·0.625× resisted
  • No immunities. Nothing takes zero damage from anything.
  • An element resists itself. Attacking with the defender's own element deals 0.625×, not neutral damage — the opposite of what most creature-collectors train you to expect.
  • Dark is the one exception. It does not resist itself: a Dark mirror match is a plain 1×. No other source we found mentions this.
  • Dual types are not multiplied. Every source states matchups per element and none says how a pair combines, so read the two multipliers side by side.

Attacking with Light

1.6× DarkWind

0.625× LightLightning

Defending as Light

Takes 1.6× from Dark

Takes 0.625× from LightFireGrassWater

Light resists itself — 0.625× in a mirror match, which is unusual and easy to forget.

Common questions

What are the damage multipliers in Aniimo?

Three bands only: 1.6x for a favourable matchup, 1x neutral, and 0.625x when resisted. There are no immunities — nothing takes zero damage.

Do same-element attacks work in Aniimo?

Mostly no. Eight of the nine elements resist their own type, taking 0.625x. Dark is the sole exception: a Dark attack on a Dark creature is neutral at 1x.

How do dual-element Aniimo work?

Thirteen species carry two elements, and variant forms add more. Every available source lists matchups per element and none states how a pair combines, so the two multipliers should be read side by side rather than multiplied together. Treat a dual type as two separate matchups until the game confirms otherwise.

Is the Aniimo type chart official?

No. The official wiki publishes the nine elements as a filter but no effectiveness matrix at all. This chart is transcribed from community databases and will be re-verified in-game at launch.
